Explanation and enforcement of Article 545 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan for non-compliance with the procedure for applying prohibitions and restrictions when moving goods and vehicles across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union

According to Article 545 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan, violations of the rules concerning the application of prohibitions and restrictions during the movement of goods and vehicles across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are considered administrative offenses.

Specifically, this includes the import or export of goods that do not comply with sanitary, veterinary, phytosanitary standards, or technical regulations set by the EAEU. Offenses under this article may result in administrative fines and, in certain cases, confiscation of goods.

These measures are intended to protect the domestic market, ensure the safety of consumers, and fulfill Kazakhstan’s international obligations within the EAEU framework.

Entrepreneurs and citizens are required to comply with customs regulations. Failure to do so may result in both financial penalties and legal consequences.

The State Revenue Authorities are actively conducting public awareness campaigns and preventive measures to reduce violations and improve compliance with customs procedures.
