The Department of State Revenues for the Abai Region hereby reports that the Rules for Conducting Customs Examination and Customs Inspection are implemented in accordance with the procedure established by the Order of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 14, 2018, No. 188. Prior to conducting a customs examination, an authorized official shall send a notice scheduling the place and time of the customs examination (inspection) to the declarant or any other person holding authority with respect to the goods, provided that such persons have been identified, in the form specified in the annex to these Rules.
A customs inspection is performed through an external visual inspection by an authorized official of goods, personal baggage of individuals, means of transport, cargo containers, customs seals, stamps, and other means of identification of goods, without opening the means of transport or breaching the packaging of the goods.
A customs inspection of goods is conducted to verify and (or) obtain information regarding the goods under customs control, as well as to verify the presence of customs seals, stamps, and applied means of identification on the goods, means of transport, and their cargo compartments.
