INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES OF KAZAKHSTAN WERE PRESENTED TO SINGAPOREAN INVESTORS

On September 18 in Singapore was held a road show for the presentation of investment opportunities of the Republic of Kazakhstan to potential Singaporean investors. The event was organized by the National Agency for Export and Investment «KAZNEX INVEST», with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation.

 

 

The Kazakhstan delegation was headed by Vice-Minister of Investment and Development of the RK Rakhim Oshakbayev. The delegation also included representatives of national companies, akimates of range of the regions, SEZ "Khorgos - Eastern Gate" and "Taraz Chemical Park", as well as private companies. From the Singaporean side the event was attended by representatives of more than 100 organizations and leading companies of the country.

 

 

When addressing the speech the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Singapore Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhataev introduced the participants with social and economic situation in Kazakhstan, including the new economic policy "Nurly Zhol". He invited investors from Singapore to mutually beneficial cooperation, noting the rapidly developing bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Singapore, and implementation of visa-free travel with Singapore from July 16, 2015.

 

 

Rakhim Oshakbayev has presented to Singaporean investors a business climate of Kazakhstan, talked about attempted measures of modernization and the new package of investment preferences.

 

 

Also within the road show for potential investors were presented the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan in the agricultural sector, chemical and petrochemical industry, machine building, medical equipment, building materials, infrastructure, transport and logistics.

 

 

There were also organized the meetings of the Vice-Minister for Investment and Development of the RK Rahim Oshakbaeva with representatives of largest Singapore companies like Olam International Limited, Food Empire Holdings Limited, Changi Airports InternationalPte.Ltd., AMSConsultants, OOILAYLENG, Tommy Lim, etc.
