Lecture for MNU students

11 December 2024, Astana - A guest lecture was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University (KAZGUU) on the topic “Kazakhstan as a Donor Country: Evolution of the Official Development Assistance System”.

The lecture was delivered by Arken Arystanov, the Chairman of the Board of “KazAID”, Doctor of Economic Sciences. The participants were students of international relations and law majors of Maqsut Narikbayev University.

The event was opened by Ainur Karbozova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Maqsut Narikbayev University and Independent Director of “KazAID”. In her opening speech, she emphasised the importance of the implementation of official development assistance (ODA) and the special role of KazAID in the realization of this mission.

The topics of the lecture sparked a lively discussion: the role of Kazakhstan as a donor country, “soft power” strategies and ODA implementation mechanisms were discussed. Students actively shared their views and offered new perspectives on international cooperation.

At the end of the lecture, the most active students who asked interesting questions were given memorable gifts from KazAID.
