KazAID participated as an observer in the OECD Partner Survey in the Czech Republic
KazAID took part as an observer in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Development Assistance Committee’s Partner Review of the Czech Republic’s development finance statistics, held from October 14 to 17, 2024, in Prague. The primary goal was to assess the Czech Republic’s approaches to official development assistance (ODA) and their alignment with international standards.
A comprehensive review of the Czech development finance system, including external aid and humanitarian support, was presented. Since 2010, the Czech Republic has operated under the Act on Development Co-operation and Humanitarian Aid, which governs the collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Czech Development Agency (CzDA). The country's key priorities include human rights, gender equality, environmental security, and support for global crises, such as the war in Ukraine.
Discussions focused on improving ODA data collection, inter-agency coordination, automation, and greater engagement with the private sector.
KazAID's participation enhanced cooperation with international partners and improved the reporting of development projects.
