Launch of the Avicenna: Healthcare programme for teachers

KazAID’s “Avicenna: Healthcare” programme now covers teachers after a successful launch with students

The “Avicenna: Healthcare” programme has been expanded and now includes a component to train teachers of medical universities from Central Asia, apart from students.

A week-long training course for 10 teachers from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will be conducted in the form of a workshop in Astana from 17 to 23 October 2024.  During the training, participants will be provided with information on various aspects of medical education in Kazakhstan. As part of the cultural programme, it is planned to visit the sights of Astana. The training is being held free of charge thanks to a grant from KazAID.

The event is organised by the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development “KazAID” with the support of the Astana Medical University, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Astana Development Center.

As a reminder, 17 students from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan took part in the first “Avicenna: Healthcare” programme implemented in April this year.
