 Meeting between KazAID and TIKA

 

On July 19th of this year, Chairman of the Board of KazAID A. Arystanov met with the Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Kazakhstan, H. Ozdenoglu. As part of the meeting, parties discussed strengthening cooperation and interaction between the two agencies in the field of official development assistance (further – ODA).

 

Chairman of the Board of KazAID A. Arystanov presented information regarding the planned programs of the agency within the priority areas of the national ODA system, as well as offering the Turkish side to cooperate as part of the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.

 

Coordinator of TIKA in Kazakhstan, H. Ozdenoglu expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in order to exchange experience between the staff of the agencies. During the meeting, the Turkish side also confirmed the interest of its agency to participate in KazAID’s program “Avicenna: Healthcare”, alongside other potential projects. The parties discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of joint ODA projects between KazAID and TIKA.
