Meeting between KazAID and the Islamic Organization for Food Security

 

On July 5^th of this year, Chairman of the Board of KazAID, A. Arystanov, met with representatives of the country office of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS). During the meeting, the parties discussed possible cooperation in the field of food security and agriculture for sustainable development in partner countries.

 

IOFS expressed their interest in implementing a joint project within the framework of multilateral cooperation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Representatives of the organizations familiarized the Kazakhstani side with a potential project idea to promote wheat cultivation in Afghanistan.

 

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to sign a memorandum on cooperation in the sphere of official development assistance. This will be an important step towards strengthening food security and agricultural development in partner countries.
