Competition: "Kazakhstan in the eyes of foreign media". New nomination from KazAID

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with the Club of Chief Editors of Kazakhstan announces the beginning of applications for the 9th contest "Kazakhstan in the eyes of foreign media" for foreign journalists writing/filming various materials about Kazakhstan.

Applications with informational (analytical, cultural, entertainment, documentary, etc.) materials about Kazakhstan, which were posted in foreign media or social networks in the period from 1 August 2023 to 1 August 2024, are accepted for participation in the contest.

Winners will be rewarded with a trip to Kazakhstan to visit the cities of Astana, Almaty and the Mangistau region, where a rich cultural programme will be waiting for them. The organisers will cover the costs of flights, hotel accommodation and local transport, the cultural programme in Kazakhstan, as well as per diem expenses.

This year there will be new nominations from KazAID and the Association of National Sports, where two winners will be selected.

Five winners will be selected from five geographical areas:

- North and South America ;

- Europe;

- CIS;

- Middle East and Africa;

- Asia-Pacific region

In addition, according to the established tradition, meetings with representatives of the public sector, experts and journalists, figures of science and culture of Kazakhstan will be organised especially for the laureates of the competition.

All works should be sent no later than 1 August 2024 to mediacontest2024@mfa.kz.

The results of the contest will be announced by 5 August 2024.
