KazAID held a meeting with the Office of the UNHCR

December 7, 2023 - The Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development «KazAID» A. Arystanov met with the Representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Central Asia Hans Friedrich Schodder and Irina Bilyalova, Head of the UNHCR National Office in Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, H.-F. Schodder informed about the UNHCR's regional activities and collaboration with the Government of Kazakhstan on the problems of refugees and asylum seekers in the context of the current geopolitical situation. The parties discussed the possibility of cooperation between UNHCR and KazAID in providing assistance to refugees in a trilateral format with agencies such as JICA and KOICA.
