KazAID held a meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland and representatives of Blue Peace Central Asia programme

November 16, 2023 – The Chairman of the Board of the «Kazakhstan Agency of International Development «KazAID» Dr. A.Arystanov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan Mr. Salman Bal and representatives of the Blue Peace Central Asia (BPCA) programme of the Swiss Agency dealing with water cooperation. BPCA representatives informed that the project covers several directions. In particular, strengthening regional water management institutions within the framework of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea and the World Bank's Central Asia Water and Energy Programme (CAWEP), attracting experts and exchange of experience, modernisation and reconstruction of transboundary hydraulic structures.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the possibilities of development cooperation between KazAID and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation «SDC» by establishing a partnership for the implementation of projects in the Central Asian region.
