KazAID at the Summer Volunteer School!

KazAID representative Armanay Kabdeshova participated as a speaker at the Summer Volunteer School organized by the National Volunteer Network of Kazakhstan in Zerenda.

In front of active participants from 20 regions of Kazakhstan, Armanay spoke about an important topic — what Official Development Assistance (ODA) is and how volunteering is linked to this global mission.

Participants learned:

  • About KazAID’s activities and our international projects
  • How volunteers are involved in the implementation of ODA
  • About projects where Kazakhstani volunteers have already contributed through KazAID
  • Why the involvement of volunteers in international development projects has an important moral and ethical value, as ODA is about supporting partner countries and contributing to global solidarity.

Armanay also shared international experience — how similar agencies such as JICA (Japan), KOICA (Korea), and TIKA (Türkiye) implement projects with the involvement of volunteers, combining the efforts of governments and civil society.

Volunteering is not just about helping; it is a contribution to sustainable development and building friendship between nations.
