Ermaganbet Bulekpayev met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Niko Schermers, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kazakhstan, arrived in Karaganda on a study visit.

At the meeting with the governor of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, the possibilities of developing cooperation in the economy and cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.

Ermaganbet Bulekpayev spoke about the region's industry and opportunities for investors.

– This year, it is planned to launch a project with the participation of Dutch capital – a plant for the production of complex alloys on the territory of the Saryarka Free Economic Zone. There are 26 enterprises and representative offices of Dutch companies in various sectors of the economy in the region: trade, mining and manufacturing, agriculture and others,– the head of the region noted. – In general, the foreign trade turnover of the region for six months amounted to more than 2.8 billion US dollars. The products of our enterprises are exported to more than 50 countries around the world, including the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

He proposed to expand mutually beneficial partnership not only in industry, but also in education and sports.

– I took up the post of Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan a year ago. Now I'm trying to learn more about the regions," said Nico Schermers. "Your region is six times larger in territory than the Kingdom of the Netherlands. There is an opportunity to expand cooperation, so I am interested in getting useful business information.
