Ermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the flood-affected residents of the Shet district

Flood-affected residents of the Shet district began to make repairs and settle into new homes. Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the villagers and examined the areas most affected by meltwater.

The victims of the flood in the Shet district were promptly paid one-time assistance from the state in the amount of 100 minimum calculated indicators. The villagers also received compensation for damaged property. The dead cattle have been reimbursed.

54 houses need repairs. Residents will do it on their own. Compensation has been paid for these works.

Instead of the emergency six houses, five were bought, one will be built.

Families are moving to new housing. Ermaganbet Bulekpayev assessed the situation on the spot.

Natalia Fegile's house in the Krasnaya Polyana village was declared an emergency. She has already bought another one, a woman and her husband are transporting things.

– The water came on March 30th. It's good that we were notified in advance so that we could collect things and take out the cattle. A lot of things were saved. Now we are taking property from the old house, settling into a new one. We will do some minor repairs. I like everything, there are more rooms here than we had. Thank you for quickly giving compensation! I hope we will live in peace now," says the villager.

In the Aksu village, the victims also bought good houses with outbuildings.

Orynbek Zhumazhanov has been living in the Aksu village since the 90s. His family's house was badly damaged this year. He has already chosen a new home.

– There was a similar situation in 2015, but our house was not damaged then. It fell into disrepair this year. We were allowed to find a new home for ourselves, we chose. We have a big family. My wife and I are retired. My son lives with his family with us. He has four children. We are very glad that we were not left alone with our misfortune," says Orynbek Zhumazhanov.

Another resident of Aksu, Aidana Bikei, also lost her home due to the flood.

– Our house was heavily flooded. He's barely standing, it's scary to go in. All the property was gone. There are four children in our family. We chose the house ourselves. It's nice, three-room, we'll move in soon. Many thanks to everyone who actively fought against the flood and helped us," says Aidana Bikey.

The akim of the region wished the villagers well-being in their new homes.

– On behalf of the President, we tried to compensate everyone as soon as possible and buy houses. Today I came to personally meet with the victims, to make sure that all the instructions were fulfilled. I hope you will feel comfortable living in the new houses. All the best! – said the head of the region.

Ermaganbet Bulekpayev also examined the riverbed of the Sherubai-Nura River. There are plans to clean up the reservoir.
