The «Miner-2014» youth team became the winner of the international football tournament

The Karaganda team "Miner-2014" brought gold from the ABU DHABI CUP 2024 football tournament. Competitions in the UAE were held among young men born in 2014.

Under the guidance of coach Zhanibek Allabergenov, the Karaganda football players won eight victories in nine matches. The rivals included teams from the UAE, England, Oman, South Africa, India, Russia, Switzerland, Uganda and Spain.

After a successful performance in the group stage, «Miner-2014» reached the final of the silver grid. In the final game, Karaganda managed to win over «Manchester City» (England) with the score 2:0. Sultan Mammadov and Ernar Mamitov scored the goals.

– «Manchester City» is a very strong opponent. It's great that the guys were able to pull themselves together and win. Football luck turned out to be on our side, and, of course, we prepared for the tournament a lot, trained. The more often the boys go abroad, where there are such grandees, the stronger they will be. At least mentally they will be well prepared," says Zhanibek Allabergenov.

The prize for the victory was a two-day training camp with coaches from the Manchester City Academy, who will come to Karaganda this year.
