Ermaganbet Bulekpayev met with miners and Qarmet management

Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev held a regular meeting with the participation of miners, representatives of trade union organizations and enterprises. Qarmet executives answered the miners' questions.

– Our commission has been working for more than two years. It is very important that we continue to work in constant dialogue. We always know that the leadership of the region keeps all mining issues under control. In this format, this is the first meeting with the participation of the heads of Qarmet JSC, trade unions and representatives of all mines. We see that the company's management visits the enterprises of the coal department, gets acquainted with production, meets with employees at the workplace, – said the head of the union of coal miners "Protection" Evgeny Buslaev.

He voiced a number of issues, primarily related to ensuring occupational safety and the prospects for the operation of coal enterprises.

Director of the Coal department Dzhakan Mukhamedzhanov spoke about plans for the near future and strategies for the future. According to him, the coal production plan for 2024 remained at the level of last year's volume – 6 million tons, and sinking will increase.

He said that the company will purchase five sets of positioning systems. The technology will be implemented at all mines and will begin at the Lenin Mine.

– We study the experience of related industries in the early degassing of mines before the start of coal mining, creating a safe environment for workers. These are not experimental developments, but an adaptation of the experience of related industries," said Dzhakan Mukhamedzhanov.

The issues of improving the health of employees, registration of a special social payment were also discussed.

This year, the program of preferential mortgages for miners and metallurgists will continue.

Ermaganbet Bulekpayev noted that such meetings are very useful.

– President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid special attention to the activities of Qarmet during an expanded government meeting. The Head of State announced clear plans and tasks facing the enterprise. To do this, both the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the Karaganda region are making every effort today, but a great responsibility, of course, lies with the new owner and all staff," the governor of the region stressed.
