The soloist of the Karaganda Musical Comedy Theater took first place at an international competition in Spain

The soloist-vocalist of the Karaganda Musical Comedy Theater Elena Fedorova took first place in the nomination "academic vocal" at the International Competition of Mediterranean Legends performers in Spain (Costa Brava). The song of Kazakh composer Serik Yerkimbekov "Darkhan Dala" performed by Elena was warmly received by the European audience.

– It was my first time participating in a music competition in Europe, it was an interesting experience. At the stage of the main competition, I decided to perform the song of the Kazakh composer S. Yerkimbekov "Darkhan Dala". She delighted the audience. The second piece was Maria's aria from "West Side Story" by L. Bernstein. At the gala concert, she performed "Kazakh Waltz" by L. Hamidi and "I could have danced" by F. Low. In the performance, I wanted not only to demonstrate my vocal abilities, but it was very important for me to introduce the Spanish audience to the music and outstanding composers of Kazakhstan, I wanted to share the rich culture of our country and at the same time sing something that would be understandable and familiar to listeners, which resonates in my heart. I think all this combined led to the fact that the jury appreciated my performance so highly," says Elena.

Elena has been working at the Karaganda Academic Musical Comedy Theater since 2006. She graduated from the Karaganda College of Arts named after Tattimbet and the Kyrgyz National State Conservatory named after K. Moldobasanov. The singing voice is a soprano. Elena has won regional and international competitions more than once.
