153 km per day: The athlete from Temirtau won the International ultramarathon

Zakhar Bushinov, an athlete from Temirtau, won the International Daily Ultramarathon. He ran 153 km in 24 hours.

The race took place in the capital's triathlon park "Astana". It was attended by athletes from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and other countries in three age categories.

Zakhar Bushinov took the first place in the group of 18-35 years. He is a pupil of the specialized boarding school named after A. Moldagulova, a prize-winner and winner of international athletics competitions in the 400 and 800 meters. Ex-record holder in the relay race 4 to 400 m indoors. In 2012, he switched to amateur sports.

– I have been doing athletics since 2002. I learned about the daily race a month before the start. I didn't prepare much. We ran a marathon in the park of Astana on a kilometer circle. It was very difficult at night. Many could not stand it and left the race. As a result, three winners were determined in each age category. I plan to continue taking part in such marathons," says Zakhar Bushinov.

The winners and prize-winners were awarded cups, medals and diplomas.
