Ermaganbet Bulekpayev met with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan

In the Karaganda region, together with a company from Uzbekistan, household appliances will be produced. A major project is being implemented on the territory of the industrial zone in Saran.

The issues of strengthening and expanding economic ties were discussed at the meeting by Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan Saidikram Niyazhodzhayev.

The head of the region said that the products of the Karaganda region are exported to 54 countries of the world. There are 25 enterprises operating in the region, jointly with partners from Uzbekistan. They work in the fields of trade, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, etc.

– A successful example of bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan is the construction of a factory for the production of household appliances Artel Electronics. It is planned to invest more than 21 billion tenge of investments, with the creation of 1,500 jobs, – said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev. – We are interested in continuing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation with your country. We are ready to create favorable conditions for joint business.

In 2022, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan increased by 30% and amounted to 5 billion US dollars. According to the diplomat, the task is to double this amount in the coming years.

– We are determined to further strengthen the centuries-old friendship, good neighborliness, and mutual trust. The point of growth is interregional contacts. We have proposals for the development of cooperation with the Karaganda region. We would like to consider the possibility of supplying cattle to Uzbekistan, as Karaganda meat is very tasty. We are ready to supply agricultural products to your region in the off-season. In turn, we buy potatoes from your farmers," said Saidikram Niyazhodzhayev.

He believes that there are prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of construction, in the development of tourism.
