Karaganda schoolchildren took the first place at the international scientific conference

At the annual International Scientific Conference "XXIII Satpayev readings" at Toraigyrov University, ninth-graders of the specialized boarding school "Daryn" of Karaganda took first place in the section "Energy". Schoolchildren have developed an energy storage system that allows them to accumulate excess energy received on sunny days.

The conference was attended by scientists, university and college teachers, school teachers, university and college students, as well as school students – from 5th to 12th grade. In total, about 40 breakout sessions were held in 8 scientific areas. About 1200 works were received from all regions of the country.

In Section "Energetika" your project protected the team "Paprika"specialized school-Lyceum-boarding school "Daryn" and paid attention to the first place." In addition, students of the 9th grade Yerasyl and Nurasyl Toleubayev, Taimas Kargabay and Dastan Ismailov. "They came up with the project "Hydroaccumulator support for solar panels". Head of the project-teacher of Computer Science Assel Kasym.

The development of schoolchildren is designed to increase the efficiency and reliability of the solar power system, extend its operation time and provide backup power in case of unavailability of solar energy.

"Our device consists of the main tank, where the turbine and pump are located, and above it a platform on which we have placed our water tower with an automatic valve, the main control module – arduino, batteries and stabilizer, solar panel. During the day, the panel charges the batteries, then the stabilizer supplies electricity to the pump, and water is pumped into the tower. And at night, when solar energy is unavailable, the valve is lowered, the water begins to spin the turbine. The law of electromagnetic induction is in effect. Magnets are located on the turbine, and the main electromagnet is located nearby. When the turbine turns, the magnets change the field of the main electromagnet, thereby generating an electric current," the developers explained.

According to the results of the breakout sessions, the winners were awarded diplomas and gifts, and their scientific supervisors received letters of thanks.

A collection of reports will also be published. It is published in electronic format and posted on the website of Satbayev University.
