Karaganda schools celebrated Science Day

Events dedicated to outstanding Kazakh scientists were held in 80 secondary schools of Karaganda. The twelfth of April is celebrated in our country as the Day of Science Workers.

This date is also included in the ethnocalendary, aimed at preserving and popularizing national values. Recall that it was presented in Karaganda in 2019 on the initiative of the Qazaq club.

Last year, representatives of the club held meetings with students of the Higher Polytechnic College. They told about the life and works of the outstanding Kazakh scientist Kanysh Satpayev.

This year, together with the Department of Education of the Karaganda region and the Board of Education, we organized events in the city's schools.

So, at the Kanysh Satpayev gymnasium, an excursion was conducted for students of the Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly gymnasium through the exhibition hall.

Kanysh Satpayev's great-niece Meruert Nazarova shared her family's memories of the scientist:

– He was a versatile and simple man. I could always find common topics for conversation, whether it was a doctor, a chemist or a literary critic.

The school also held an open lesson "Science and you". On it, primary school students had the opportunity to conduct chemical experiments.

On this day, residents of the city, representatives of science, relatives of Kanysh Satpayev laid flowers at the monument of the scientist. The twelfth of April marked 124 years since the birth of the outstanding geologist.

In general, 80 schools of the city held class hours, open lessons and other events for the Day of Science.
