Ermaganbet Bulekpayev met with Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan

Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan visited Karaganda on an archpastoral visit. The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan visited the Cathedral of the introduction to the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos.

Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev met with Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan.

– Karaganda region is multi-confessional. Thanks to the policy pursued by the state in the religious sphere, we have built a constructive dialogue with representatives of various faiths, – said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.

The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan congratulated the residents of Karaganda on the bright holiday of Nauryz.

– People of different nationalities and faiths live in peace and harmony in Karaganda. I wish it would always be like this," the metropolitan said.

He said that memorable celebrations in honor of St. Sebastian of Karaganda will be held in Karaganda on April 19, to which guests are expected to arrive-archpastors and clergy from the dioceses of Kazakhstan and CIS countries.
