Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the 73-year-old athlete from the Karaganda region

The sporting achievements of 73-year-old resident of the Shet district of the Karaganda region, Daribay Ospanov, were noted by the President of Kazakhstan. Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev handed the sports veteran a letter of thanks on behalf of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a watch and a ticket to a holiday home in Borovoye. The Department of Physical Culture and Sports encouraged aksakal with a certificate for sports equipment.

– I'm very impressed. To be honest, I was surprised that our President follows the lives of ordinary people. I am very pleased that my many years of work was noticed by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. We will try together with our sons to justify the hopes of the whole country," Daribai Ospanov shared his emotions.

Many people know about the Ospanov family from Agadyr village in the Karaganda region. She has won 31 times in the international arena. In honor of the victories, the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan was performed 18 times.

The multiple champion of Kazakhstan, two-time Asian and world champion in powerlifting, honored coach Daribai Ospanov was born in 1949 in a family of railway workers. He followed in the footsteps of his parents and gave his whole life to the railroad. I've been doing sports since my youth. I have been seriously interested in powerlifting for the last 18 years. He won his first victory in 2010 at the Asian Championship in the Philippines, lifting a bar weighing 140 kg. To date, he is the absolute world champion in equipment bench press among veterans.

Daribai Ospanov raised three children, instilled in them all a love of sports. Karaman's youngest son has been coaching himself since he was 13. As a result, Karaman became an honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a master of sports of international class in powerlifting. He not only performs at competitions, but also trains children in his native Agadyr.

Almaz Ospanov, the eldest son, is a master of sports of the international class of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a coach of the highest category. The middle son, Manas Ospanov, also became a master of sports. The younger generation is not far behind. Grandson of Daribai Ospanov Aytas is a multiple participant in powerlifting competitions, fulfilled the standard of the master of sports.

Daribai Ospanov is not going to stop there. He continues to practice five times a week and is going together with his sons to defend the honor of Kazakhstan at international competitions this year.

– In October we plan to take part in the world championship in Mongolia, and in June we are going to India. We are constantly preparing," says the sports veteran. – The main secret of longevity in sports is not to lie down, but to constantly engage in physical culture, run outside for good blood circulation. And yet, it is necessary to set goals and achieve them. My goal is to get the title of Honored Master of Sports and become a world champion several times.
