A new rehabilitation center for children has opened in Balkhash

In Balkhash, rehabilitation assistance will be provided to children with disabilities from all over the region. A state specialized center has appeared in the city. It will accept toddlers and teenagers from one and a half to 18 years old.

Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the new rehabilitation center and got acquainted with the conditions.

A building was found to accommodate the rehabilitation center and it was reconstructed. Engineering communications were completely updated, the premises were renovated according to the principle of an accessible environment. Special lifts were installed on the staircases.

According to the acting director of the rehabilitation center Daryn Aubakirov, the staff has been fully recruited. Doctors and teachers have been hired: pediatrician, orthopedic traumatologist, rehabilitologist, psychologist, neurologist, speech therapist, defectologist, music and physical education teachers and other specialists. Equipped with physical therapy rooms, physiotherapy, massage. There is a hot tub and exercise equipment, devices for electroplating and electrophoresis, magnetic therapy, etc. Equipped with a Montessori room.

The bedrooms have functional beds. Patients will be provided with five hot meals a day.

The center is designed for 50 seats. According to the indications, the children will be here for up to six months. Rehabilitation is complex: medical, social and pedagogical. All services are free. Now through the social services portal Аleumet.gov the first patients are being recruited.
