New Year's miracles: 200 children from Karaganda region gathered at the Presidential New Year Tree

They danced and made wishes – for 200 children from the Karaganda region, lights were lit on the traditional Presidential New Year tree.

This year, the festive event was held simultaneously throughout the republic.

The young guests, together with Father Frost, Snow Maiden and their assistants, had fun.

Local children's ensembles "Sholpan", "Boztorgai" and "Kuanysh" performed at the matinee.

– Today, children from 9 to 13 years old gathered at the Christmas tree. These are winners of contests, Olympiads and sports competitions, and children with special educational needs, and from large and low-income families. We organized transport for children from remote areas so that they could get to Karaganda. In fact, the holiday began yesterday. A viewing of the cartoon "Teddy's Adventures" was organized at the Saryzhailau cinema," says Aruna Mukasheva, head of the department of moral and spiritual development of the personality of special and additional education of the regional education department.

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev congratulated the children on the upcoming holiday.

– Dear children and parents, on behalf of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, I want to congratulate you on the New Year. Today turned out to be a really good holiday. I wish you all good health, peace and prosperity, a happy childhood and all the best," the head of the region said.

Maria Lipchenko from Novy Karagan village of Abai district, came to the Christmas tree for the first time.

– I have never seen such a performance as today. Cool animators, funny dances, various contests. Everyone was so dressed up. I wish all children to celebrate the New Year with their family, be happy, rejoice and not be sad," says Maria.

Gauhar Akhmet, a pupil of the special boarding school No. 6, was delighted with the lights of the green beauty New Year tree.

– I liked the New Year tree the most. It was very beautifully decorated, and then suddenly lit up. We danced, played, laughed. I really love the New Year, because you can find a gift under the tree, everyone is happy, congratulating each other," says Gauhar.

Gifts became a pleasant addition to the holiday. Each child received a personalized greeting card from the President, a smart speaker with Alice, headphones, sweets and a book of fairy tales in three languages. After the event, a festive table was set for the children.
