Amur tiger was presented to the Karaganda Zoo

Almaty Zoo presented the Amur tiger to the Karaganda Zoological Garden for its birthday.

– In 2023, our zoo turns 85 years old. The Almaty Zoo was the first to congratulate us and presented us with a 3-year-old male tiger. Such a gift is now estimated at 8 million. A purebred Amur tiger was born on March 15, 2019. According to the documents, he is healthy. We hope that the new inhabitant will like our house. And for him we have a bride Mia, which we acquired in 2020 at the contact zoo. Mia was born in 2018. Now Amur tigers are on the verge of extinction, – said Gulnara Adambayeva, director of the Karaganda Zoo.
