Head of State received Akim of Karaganda region Zhenis Kasymbek
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the main indicators of socio-economic development of the Karaganda region for 10 months of this year. The President was informed about the positive dynamics of growth in industry, agriculture and attracting investments.
According to Zhenis Kassymbek, the volume of industrial production amounted to 3.1 trillion tenge (an increase of 1.5%). In the manufacturing industry, production increased by 6.3%. 522.2 billion tenge of investments were attracted to the economy of the region (an increase of 8.5%), a significant part of which (92%) falls on private investments. In January – October 2022, 414.4 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned. This is 1.7% more compared to the same period last year.
The Head of State was informed about the development of highways in the Karaganda region, providing the population with water supply. Zhenis Kassymbek also reported on the situation at ArcelorMittal Temirtau.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions for the further development of the region's economy.
