Elections of the President of Kazakhstan have begun at 642 polling stations in the Karaganda region

In the Karaganda region, at seven o'clock in the morning, polling stations for holding early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan opened. There are 642 of them in the region. According to the regional election commission, about 770 thousand voters have been registered. Of these, 6890 are voting for the first time and 1841 are over 90 years old.

The first voters have already come to the polling stations, having shown civic consciousness and made their choice.

2210 voters were registered at the polling station No. 17 in Karaganda, located in the Palace of Culture of Miners.

26-year-old Adelina Omertai was the first to vote here.

– I think today every citizen of Kazakhstan should exercise their right to vote. Not to leave everything to the mercy of fate. If there is such an opportunity, we need to determine our future ourselves," says a resident of Karaganda.

The voting process is monitored by independent observers from non-profit organizations and public associations.

Recall that by Decree, early presidential elections were scheduled for November 20, 2022. The CEC has registered six presidential candidates. The head of State will be elected for one seven-year term.
