Open akimat and coworking centers opened in Abai district

The facilities necessary for residents were opened in the villages of the Abai district before the Republic Day. Dubovka now has an Open akimat and a coworking center, and the library of Koksu has a new space for work and communication.

The building of the former communications hub was allocated for the akimat of Dubovka rural district. The repair took almost six months. As a result, electrics and plumbing were replaced, new windows and doors were installed, the facade and roof were put in order. All conditions have been created for unhindered access for people with disabilities.

Open akimat will allow residents of Dubovka to receive the necessary services on the principle of a "single window".

– During the reconstruction of the building, we were guided by the concept of a "hearing state", which provides for openness and accessibility of government agencies to the population. All the walls in the premises of the new akimat are transparent. You can see what the mayor and his staff are doing during working hours, – says the head of the Abai district Bauyrzhan Asanov.

Currently, there are 10 coworking centers in district libraries. Similar ones were opened in Dubovka and Koksu.

Coworking in the library is a place for study, business meetings, trainings, negotiations, master classes, seminars, it is also a platform for cognitive and creative development and meaningful leisure.

"Our libraries have organized corners for children's reading and leisure, where you can play, read, engage in creativity and even do homework. There is an Internet sector with free access to the World Wide Web. Platforms for teamwork and communication, zones for individual reading and recreation have been created. There are also screens with a projector for conducting master classes, lectures, KSU "Central Library System of the Abai district" told.
