Arnella Tolegen, a student of the Karaganda Nazarbayev Intellectual School, has developed a mobile application for memorizing English words for subject-language integrated learning.
Arnella is in the ninth grade. She has been working on creating a mobile app for about a year. Recently, a schoolgirl presented her development at the network stage of the republican contest of scientific projects.
– The application will help students to repeat English terms in physics, chemistry, biology, computer science. Now we are planning to test the application for its improvement and subsequent placement in the App Store," Arnella notes.
This year, students of Karaganda NIS submitted 42 projects to the competition.

Another ninth–grader, Ameli Kazhibekova, has created a project for the integrated study of physics and biology.
– My project is dedicated to the integrated study of physics and biology – the compilation of a collection of problems. It is aimed at increasing the percentage of the effectiveness of teaching students through the integration of two natural sciences," the student shared.
The competition of scientific projects is held in two rounds: from October 17 to 22 – the online stage; during the autumn holidays - in real mode in Almaty and Astana.
In total, about 550 projects from all regions of the country from more than 800 students in 16 sections were submitted to the competition.
