President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to work out the issue of subsidizing air tickets for summer flights to Balkhash. The Head of State said this at a meeting with the public of the Karaganda region, the press service of Akorda reports.

– At the same time, it is advisable to work out the issue of subsidizing tickets for flights to Balkhash in the summer season. The city's air harbor should be included in the country's airport development program. It is also necessary to consider the possibility of opening new air and rail routes, taking into account seasonality and tourist flow. Only thanks to such comprehensive measures, Balkhash will become an attractive place for domestic and, in the future, international tourism," Kassym–Jomart Tokayev said.

The President of the country instructed the government, together with the Akimat of the region, to work out these issues and provide for appropriate measures in the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the city.
