Kazakh actors received a special award at the Venice Film Festival
At the 79th Venice International Film Festival, Adilkhan Yerzhanov's Kazakh film "Goliath" received a special award from independent film critics from Italy.
The Premio bisato d'oro 2022 Best Actors Award was given to the best actors – Berik Aitzhanov and Daniyar Alshinov.
Recall that Adilkhan Yerzhanov's feature film "Goliath", shot in the noir genre, entered the Orizzonti Extra ("New Horizons") competition program of the 79th Venice International Film Festival, which was held on the island of Lido from August 31 to September 10.
The film starred famous Kazakh actors – Berik Aitzhanov, Daniyar Alshinov, Almira Tursyn and Erken Gubashev. Russian actors Dmitry Chebotarev and Alexandra Revenko are also involved in the film.
The Orizzonti Extra program demonstrates the main trends in world cinematography, which have opened new names of directors.
During the film festival, projects of different genres and formats were evaluated by the audience jury.
The film "Goliath" will be released in Russian cinemas from September 29.
