Zonal boarding of air passengers is being introduced in pilot mode at Karaganda airport

Karaganda Airport will become one of the participants of the "Zonal Landing" project. It will be launched from September 10 in a pilot mode.

This was reported by the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee.

"The main idea of the project is the implementation of passenger boarding by zonal technology, that is, by groups, which will significantly improve the quality and speed of service to citizens during their stay at airports. As part of the project, passengers will be boarded depending on the seat occupied on board the aircraft. At the same time, unaccompanied children and passengers with limited mobility will board outside the main queue as a priority in accordance with the current legislation," the message says.

According to the ministry, Air Astana, Fly Arystan and SCAT airlines will participate in the pilot project. Zonal boarding will be carried out only at those airports where there are telescopic ladders: in Nursultan, Aktau, Aktobe, Turkestan and Karaganda. The project is designed for three months, after that it will be decided whether to apply zonal planting in the future.
