"Crossroads of cultures" brought victory to the library of Karaganda at the international competition

Karaganda Regional Children's Library named after Abai has won the international competition "Rudomino Award". She was awarded for the "Crossroads of Cultures" project. Experts recognized him as one of the best and awarded him the nomination "Choice of the professional community".

The project was implemented in 2024-2025 and was dedicated to culture, literature, languages and traditions of different countries. During this time, the library hosted cultural weeks in Italy, Japan, China, India, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, England and France.

The competition was organized by the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after M. I. Rudomino. This year, 26 projects from different cities of Russia, as well as Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan were submitted for the award. The winners were determined by experts from the library sector of the CIS countries.

The award ceremony was held in Yekaterinburg as part of the All-Russian Library Congress. Bayan Uatayeva, the head of the Karaganda Regional Children's Library named after Abai, was awarded a special diploma and a prize from the jury members.

"We would like to thank all the friends and partners who were part of the Crossroads of Cultures project, and everyone who helped us implement our ideas," the library said.
