A factory for the production of ceramic products is being built in Karaganda

Premium clinker tiles will be produced in Karaganda. The new production facility will reduce imports, reduce the cost of construction materials and create about 170 jobs.

The construction of the plant is progressing at an active pace.

Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev got acquainted with the progress of the project.

According to Daulet Smagulov, director of QAZCLINKER, the company will be the first in the country to produce clinker tiles for facades.

The capacity is up to 1 million square meters of products per year.

— Our motto is to produce a premium product at an affordable price. Technological equipment is currently being installed. It has already been purchased and is being delivered in stages. We are implementing the project at our own expense and with the support of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan," Daulet Smagulov said.

The production is focused on both the domestic market and export.

The head of the company explained that the choice fell on the Karaganda region due to convenient logistics and well-developed infrastructure.

The possibility of connecting to gas has also become an important factor: all the necessary infrastructure has already been created at the site, so production will initially run on natural gas.

The plant is planned to be launched this year.
