Rocket platform and bionic robot: Karaganda residents won gold at the national competition

The results of the republican contest of scientific projects in natural and mathematical subjects were summed up in Astana Schoolchildren of the Karaganda region won 10 medals including four gold medals

The final was attended by 623 students from all over the country who presented 463 projects in 10 sections The works were evaluated according to international standards

According to the Regional Scientific and Practical Center "SaryarkaDaryny" 13 schoolchildren from the Karaganda region participated in the final with ten projects

Gold medals were awarded to students of the specialized boarding school named after Zhambyl Anuar Abdarrazak and Islam Kanagatov for the project of an aerodynamic landing platform for a rocket using wind energy

– The young researchers studied the laws of aerodynamics the movement of air currents the influence of wind force and the possibility of energy redistribution confirming their conclusions with an experimental model The decision is aimed at reducing fuel consumption ensuring safe landing and improving environmental efficiency" said Aray Kalykov, deputy director of the Zhambyl Specialized Boarding school noting that the victory was the achievement of the entire team and evidence of systematic work and interest in science

The students prepared the project under the guidance of physics teacher Ainur Musabekova and computer science teacher Zharkyn Abdikarimov

Ivan Son, a ninth-grader at the Lyceum of Information Technology, also took the first place with a project of a robotic arm based on the principles of bionics

– I started making the manipulator project last spring and I improved the version for the republican competition Bionic robots have wide possibilities they are used both in industry and in medicine The special feature is the soft grip I was counting on a prize and of course it was an exciting moment when the victory was announced" says the gold medalist

Ivan has been interested in robotics for many years and this is not the first award says his coach, teacher Kairat Ismailov

Gold in mathematics was won by Danial Oryshan, a student of Nazarbayev Intellectual School

Silver medals in the Computer Science section were awarded to Yasmin and Eileen Seifullina, students of the IT Lyceum Yasmin also won a grant to study at Narxoz University

The bronz leaders were the teachers of special schools-Lyceum-boarding school "Daryn" Nurasyl Mereke, Riza Akhmetova and Tilek Amangeldy,

as well as Tumar Yerbolkyzy from school-Lyceum No. 2 named after the abaya City of Balkhasha.

The best projects will be presented at the international scientific and technical exhibition Regeneron ISEF 2026 which will be held in May in Phoenix (USA)
