The first industrial cluster production facility has been launched in Temirtau

The first production project within the Qarmet industrial cluster, the production of gloves using recycled materials, has been launched in Temirtau.

The project is being implemented on the basis of Qarmet Service in cooperation with the manufacturing company GLOVEX LLP and is aimed at localizing the production of knitted gloves for industrial use. It has become part of Qarmet's strategy to develop industrial cooperation and increase domestic value.

Its special feature is the introduction of the principles of a closed—loop economy. Recycled textile waste, including used workwear, is used as raw materials. This makes it possible to reduce waste, reduce the environmental burden and build sustainable local supply chains.

According to Turar Zholmagambetov, Director of Strategic Development at Qarmet, the project is primarily focused on fully meeting the company's needs for this type of personal protective equipment.

— In the future, it is planned to gradually increase production capacities and expand supplies to other industrial enterprises in Kazakhstan. The sustainability of the project is confirmed by long-term offtake contracts, which ensure stable production utilization and predictable sales volumes,— Turar Zholmagambetov emphasized.

GLOVEX specializes in the processing of textile waste and the production of finished textiles. The company has a full production cycle, from the processing of raw materials to the production and packaging of finished products. Its structure includes crushing, carding and spinning complexes, needle-punched fabric production lines, a knitting section, coating and screen printing lines, as well as a line of dipped products with latex and nitrile coating.

The production facilities include 80 modern vending machines, which makes it possible to produce up to 300,000 pairs of gloves per month with the possibility of increasing production to one million pairs.

In the future, the project provides for the localization of other types of gloves and personal protective equipment, which will be an additional contribution to the development of domestic production and the strengthening of industrial cooperation in the country.
