A large-scale industrial project, the creation of an aluminum cluster, has been launched in the Karaganda region It will be based on the Silumin of Qazaqstan plant which will produce aluminum and bimetallic radiators

Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the construction site of the enterprise in the Saryarka special economic zone during a working trip

He noted that the project is being implemented at a good pace:

the production building has already been erected and equipment is currently being installed

— This is a completely new project In the future, we plan to form a full-fledged aluminum cluster based on it The processing of aluminum waste and the production of various products including household products, will be developed here We expect to receive the first products in the spring" said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev
The project provides for a full production cycle Using ECG technology, aluminum scrap is processed into ADC12 and AK12M2 alloys after which radiator sections are cast under high pressure

Further, the products undergo mechanical processing painting and mandatory testing

— The technologies were developed on the basis of our own research and development in cooperation with the Institutes of thermal Mechanics of Italy and Germany This allows us to produce radiators with high heat dissipation and competitive characteristics" said plant Director Nursultan Zhumabek

The choice of the Saryarka SEZ for production location is not accidental The region is advantageously located in the center of the country close to key logistics routes In addition the Karaganda region is an industrial region with a strong human resource potential

The design capacity of the enterprise will be 5.5 million radiator sections per year At the first stage, 250 jobs will be created Already, 30 specialists are being trained who will become production masters in the future In the future, it is planned to increase the number of staff to 750 people and expand the product range

The development of the aluminum cluster is planned on the basis of the Aluminum Technology and Engineering Center which will unite business government and science R&D and Karaganda universities will be involved in the work to introduce new technologies and train personnel

The governor of the region also got acquainted with the construction of a laboratory for testing geological exploration samples which is being built for the Solidcore Resources group of companies The laboratory will provide services to other enterprises in the region

— The Head of State emphasized the need to strengthen geological exploration Such work is impossible without modern laboratories Your project fully meets the current requirements" said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev

160 jobs are planned to be created here, and work is already underway with universities and colleges to train specialists

In addition the region is preparing to launch the production of spare parts and wheel sets for railway transport

The plant has already been built and equipped with access railway tracks The start of production is scheduled for the first half of the year

Another project is a plant for the production of plant protection products The construction of the first stage facilities has already started at the site, herbicides fungicides and other agrochemical products will be produced here

— Several large investment projects are being implemented at the Saryarka SEZ today Investors see real support from the government Natural gas will be supplied here in the near future which will reduce the cost of production We also plan to further expand the zone" the governor of the region emphasized
