Ermaganbet Bulekpayev named priorities in the development of Karaganda

Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev held a meeting with residents of Karaganda. The dialogue lasted almost four hours, during which time the townspeople managed to ask dozens of questions about the urban environment, infrastructure and social issues.

This year, the head of the region traveled to all cities and districts of the region and held 13 meetings with residents, which were attended by over 3.5 thousand people. In addition, he received about 200 residents at personal receptions. During the year, more than 400 questions were received from the population.

– A lot of work has been done in all areas during the year. In Karaganda, we are building new roads, improving water supply and heating, and making the city comfortable and convenient. For example, many people already know that we are building a new road connecting the residential districts of South-East and Maikuduk. We need to continue the project next year, and I'm setting this goal," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.

This year, more than 80 km of roads have been repaired in the regional center, and now 85% of the streets are in good condition.

Karaganda residents have become more actively involved in the "Budget of National Participation" program, and they themselves choose landscaping projects. During the year, 104 projects were implemented on the initiative of residents – these are new sports and children's playgrounds, mini-squares.

Ermaganbet Bulekpayev outlined the areas on which the city authorities should focus their efforts. These include infrastructure modernization, continued gasification, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.

Landscaping issues are still relevant. The participants of the meeting thanked for the concept of "A city without suburbs", noting the transformations in remote streets. They ask us not to stop there – to make lighting in the private sector, to asphalt roads. Mayor of the city Meiram Kozhukhov explained that the approach is to repair roads only after complete replacement of communications.

Issues of medical care and support for people with disabilities were also raised. The city needs an adaptive table tennis hall where the blind can practice. The governor of the region said that possible options will be considered.

The meeting was attended by the heads of regional administrations, and they immediately provided answers or explanations to a number of requests. The issues that need to be studied and analyzed have been taken under control.

The akim of the region also held a reception for citizens on personal issues.
