Youth Day in Karaganda: ideas, dialogue and new projects

The next meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs in the Karaganda region was held in the format of an open dialogue. Leaders of youth organizations, political associations and active representatives of the new generation gathered in an informal atmosphere on Youth Day.

Together with the akim of the region, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, the youth discussed the prospects of work, study and projects that they want to implement.

Opening the meeting, the head of the region stressed that he expects an open and meaningful conversation.

— We need open and concrete communication. It is important to understand which projects are already being implemented, and what is still in the plans, where additional support is needed," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev. — The President of the country emphasizes that young people need to create conditions for growth and self-realization. And there are already tangible results in the field.

Resource centers are operating in the region, and programs to support young entrepreneurs are being implemented, including grants for starting a business.

Among the proposals made at the meeting was the holding of a Forum of working professions.

This initiative was made by the chairman of the youth council "The Future" at the regional trade union center Aimira Bagramova. She said that she works with working youth, helps protect their rights, promotes the principles of decent work and popularizes working professions.

— We haven't had forums of this level yet, and this is especially important in the Year of Working Professions. We want to invite international experts and share our experience," Aimira Bagramova said. — Working-class youth rarely become the center of attention, and this project will make a difference.

The governor of the region supported the idea, stressing that there are about half a million specialists in working professions in the region — one of the highest rates in the country.

In addition, the participants of the meeting raised issues of education, employment, creative industries and volunteerism.

At the end of the meeting, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev presented letters of thanks to the activists

who contribute to the development of youth policy and help implement initiatives important for the region.
