36 investment projects are being implemented in Karaganda region this year

Since the beginning of the year, 2 trillion tenge worth of industrial products have been produced in the Karaganda region. Continuous growth in the manufacturing sector. The economy continues to develop and attract investment.

Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev spoke about the achievements and future plans at a briefing on the site of the Regional Communications Service.

– The volume of investments in fixed assets increased to 327 billion tenge. The indicator will be higher by the end of the year. By 2031, we plan to implement 108 investment projects worth 4.3 trillion tenge, which will create 11 thousand jobs. This year, we will launch 36 projects with the creation of more than two thousand jobs," the head of the region said.

He announced which new plants will appear in the field: hot-dip galvanizing of metal products, production of straight-seam steel pipes, aluminum radiators. A wind farm in the Osakarov district and a ferrosilicon production complex at the Saryarka SEZ are also among the major projects.

Small and medium-sized businesses are also actively developing in the region, said Ermaganbet Bulekpaev. Today, there are almost 100 thousand subjects in this sector, and about 245 thousand people are employed. By the end of the year, the share of SMEs in GRP is expected to grow by 23%. Business initiatives receive government support: subsidies, guarantees, grants and micro-loans.
