Reducing the proportion of worn-out buses on regular passenger routes
Currently, 55 carriers are involved on regular bus routes in our region, with a total of 1,590 units of rolling stock.
In order to develop urban passenger transport by road and improve the quality of services provided, the carriers of the region (the cities of Karaganda, Temirtau) last year planned to purchase more than 200 new buses.
However, due to the spread of coronavirus infection and the restrictive measures taken, passenger traffic in the republic as a whole decreased by 2.5 – 3 times, respectively, and the income of carriers. Therefore, the procedure for purchasing buses was divided into several stages.
The renewal of buses will continue in the current year (Karaganda-60 buses, Temirtau – 75).
