On June 15, this year, the regional election commission held a seminar-meeting on the issue: "Legal and organizational aspects of organizing and conducting direct elections of mayors of cities of district significance, villages, settlements, rural districts" with the participation of Akim of Karaganda region Kasymbek Zh.M., member of the Central Election Commission Shchegortsova A.G.
The seminar discussed the changes made to the electoral legislation.
The speakers were the chairman of the regional election commission Aimagambetov E.B., the deputy chairman of the regional election commission Apieva M.M., the head of the Department of Internal Policy of the region Kusayyn E.B., the chief sanitary doctor of the region Zalygin Yu.L.
The discussion was attended by a member of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shchegortsova A. G.
Akim of Karaganda region Kassymbek Zh. M. gave instructions to the mayors of the regions participating in the direct elections of rural mayors on the material and technical equipment of polling stations, the creation of necessary conditions for persons with disabilities, to ensure the full readiness of polling stations for the elections, taking into account the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region.
All regions of the region were connected via video conferencing.
The seminar-meeting was attended by more than 500 participants of the electoral process.
