About targeted social assistance

       State targeted social assistance (hereinafter referred to as TSA) is assigned to low-income families whose income level for each family member is below the poverty line. The poverty line for the 1st quarter of 2022 is 25,813 tenge.

      The TSA is assigned quarterly, for the current quarter from the month of application.

      The size of the TSA is determined for all family members, including children, as the difference between the poverty line and the average per capita income.

      When calculating the total family income, all types of income (received in the quarter preceding the quarter of applying for the appointment of the TSA), cohabiting, running a common household and having registration at a permanent or temporary (at least 6 months) place of residence for each family member are taken into account.

     If the family applies for TSA in the 1st quarter of 2022. (in January, February or March), then the income received in the 4th quarter of 2021 is taken into account for calculating the total family income.

      On the example of a large family (6 people):

      The amount of the total family income per month is 136760 tenge (4Q.2021: 270000 tenge - salary, 140280 tenge - state allowance for large families with 4 or more minor children);

      Per capita income: 22793 tenge = (136760 tenge/6 people);

     The poverty line for the 1st quarter of 2022 is 25,813 tenge;

    TSA size: for a  person 3020tg = (25813tg - 22793tg),

   for a  family 18120tg = (3020tg *6).

TSA is not assigned:

     1) If an able-bodied family member refuses the proposed measures to promote employment, then all members of his family lose the right to TSA;

     2) Persons (families) who have submitted deliberately false information and (or) false documents for the appointment of TSA;

     3) Persons (families) who, according to the conclusion of the precinct commission prepared based on the results of a survey of their financial situation, do not need to be provided with TSA.

In addition, in addition, children aged 1 to 18 years from among the recipients of the TSA receive a guaranteed social package:

     1) if there are children in the family aged from 1 to 6 years, when prescribing TSA, they are provided with a monthly grocery set and quarterly hygiene products;

     2) if there are children in the family aged from 6 to 18 years, when appointing the TSA, a guaranteed social package is provided during the relevant school year (hot meals, public transport, and once a year school uniforms and supplies (stationery)).
