On May 21, Deputy Akim of the region S.Zh. Shaidarov visited the Abai district on a working trip, during which he got acquainted with the progress of spring field work and the construction of dairy farms.
In total, crops are planned to be planted in the area of 55,456 hectares in the district, which is 6.3% higher than last year.
For the successful implementation of the 2020 works, the agricultural formations of the district have 4,284 tons of grain seeds and 20,254 tons of potato seeds, 2,395 tons of mineral fertilizers have been purchased.
As of May 21 , 2020 , sown:
- grain crops – 29,200 ha or 80.7% of the plan, of which wheat - 14,500 ha, barley – 12,500 ha, oats – 2,200 ha;
- potatoes – 3,625 hectares or 68.0 % of the plan;
- vegetables – 540 hectares or 58.3% of the plan.
The first object of the visit was IP Zhunusov in the village of Yuzhny. The farm is implementing a project to build a dairy farm for 600 heads of cattle. The head of the farm spoke about plans for the development of dairy farming.
In the Koksunsky rural district, the deputy akim visited two farms at once.
The peasant farm "Chance" is the main producer of grain and potatoes in the district. To date, the total sown area is 15,116 hectares. 43.6% of the total district volume of grain crops and 50% of the total area sown with potatoes is sown by this farm. The head of the farm Igor Zhabyak said that this year 40 tons of elite wheat seeds of the "Boevchanka", "Likamero" varieties, 40 tons of elite barley seeds of the "Explorer", "Vakula" varieties and 8 tons of original barley seeds of the "Vakula" variety, 400 tons of elite potato seeds "Gala" were purchased for the variety renewal. The deputy akim of the region got acquainted with the progress of sowing and inspected the dairy farm under construction.
We also visited Astra-Agro LTD LLP. A dairy farm of 500 heads is being built here. But the main activity of the enterprise is the cultivation of seed potatoes of high reproductions. Director of Amangeldy Mukashev LLP told about the plans for the current year. The sown area of grain crops is 4,135 hectares, 2,873.9 hectares of grain and 475 hectares of potatoes have already been sown. This year, 10 tons of elite Durum wheat seeds and 20 tons of elite Siberian Avangard barley seeds were purchased for variety renewal.
