Press-release – Training course «Conducting Nuclear Security Inspections»

The Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized and conducted a «Conducting Nuclear Security Inspections» training course on February 15-19, 2021 in Almaty under the «Global Nuclear Security» program of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

The training course has been conducted at the facilities of the Nuclear Security Training Center of the Institute of Nuclear Physics.

Representatives of the organizations of the atomic sector of Kazakhstan, also  staff of  the Commıttee for Atomıc and Energy Supervısıon and Control  took part in the training course.

The training course consisted of theoretical and practical exercises. Theoretical classes were conducted by American experts online mode. Practical exercises included inspection planning, interviewing techniques, functional audits, reporting and conclusions, and corrective action program.

At the end of the course, the participants presented their post-inspection reports.
