Today, January 21, 2021, the Minister of Information and Social Development Aida Balayeva met with young directors on the development of domestic content on Kazakhstani television. Aida Balayeva told the young people about the work carried out by the Ministry for the development of high-quality content on Kazakhstani television, including in the creation of series, documentaries, special programs on topical topics that concern the public and have a special ideological significance. “Our ministry, within the framework of the state assignment and the state information order, annually ensures the production of up to fifty television series, while the number of documentaries exceeds a hundred. Some of them are gaining popularity among viewers, but the quality of most, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired. It is necessary to significantly strengthen the content, ”said the minister. At the same time, the minister noted that the Ministry is announcing a competition for the preparation of the best scripts for television series and documentaries, which will be filmed as early as next 2022. "The main topics for them are reflected in the list of thematic plans, which we will publish on the website of the Ministry," said Aida Balayeva. In general, the meeting with the Minister was attended by 29 young directors who have experience in creating interesting domestic projects. Aida Balayeva called on young directors to offer new scripts for TV series and films to the Ministry and state TV channels already this 2021. The participants of the event expressed their desire and readiness to propose new projects to the Ministry in creating unique, interesting and high-quality content in Kazakhstani television.
