Transport prosecutors stopped the illegal export of personal protective equipment from the country

Aviation transport Prosecutor's office of Almaty prevented the export of personal protective equipment from the country.

On 20.02.2020, a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan tried to take out more than 12 thousand medical devices to Istanbul, Turkey, through the passenger terminal of the Almaty international airport.

In accordance with the measures taken by the Supervisory authority, the guilty person was brought to administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 551 of the administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a fine of 30 MCI. The offender admitted guilt and paid a fine.

04.03.2020, a private company exported personal protective equipment (protective suits, overalls) with a total weight of more than 12 tons to Hong Kong, China.

Recall that in accordance with the order of the Chairman of Committee for control over the quality and safety of goods and services MOH on these commodities limited export.

According to this fact, transport prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation into economic smuggling on a particularly large scale.

Currently, measures are being taken to return the seized personal protective equipment to the state revenue.
