Transport prosecutors are seeking to reduce the cost of train tickets
The Main Transport Prosecutor's Office, within the framework of a planned analysis, studied the order of the authorized body in the field of transport "On approval of the methodology for determining the maximum levels of prices (tariffs) for passenger transportation services for socially significant messages" (hereinafter - the Methodology).

It is established that the Methodology unlawfully includes a formula for determining the cost of travel on the principle of dynamic pricing, which could actually lead to an increase in the price of a travel document.

On this regulatory act on February 21 this year, the Main Transport Prosecutor's Office brought a protest to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, which was fully satisfied.

As of today, the use of dynamic pricing for the sale of railway tickets has been suspended, the draft order on the exclusion of this norm is at the stage of approval with the authorized bodies.

The amendments initiated by the Prosecutor's office will significantly reduce the cost of passenger travel on trains and set a fixed ticket price.
