Бывший руководитель поста «СЭЗ «Сары-Арка» осужден за контрабанду криптовалютного оборудования

The verdict of the Appeal board for criminal cases of the Karaganda Regional Court of 20.03.2023 convicted Ospanov A. for economic smuggling on a particularly large scale.

His guilt was proved by the state prosecutor of the Karaganda Transport Prosecutor's Office, who detailed indisputable materials about the defendant's direct role in the fraudulent importation of "miners" from Georgia for cryptocurrency mining.

The court confirmed that the employees of the Department of Economic Investigations in the Karaganda region promptly documented the false intentions of the declarant representative of the Karaganda Plant of Complex Alloys LLP, A. Ospanov, who had sufficient knowledge about the specifics of the procedure for filing declarations in the "free economic zone" and had 23 years of experience in customs authorities.

He convinced the customs brokers hired by the plant to use this computer technology allegedly to complete the capacity of metallurgical production in the economic zone, on the territory of which customs payments are not made.

By the court's verdict, contraband items worth over 390 million tenge were turned into state revenue, including equipment for mining of the Ant-Miner S9 brand in the amount of 1,779 pieces and cables for the power supply in the amount of 10,000 pieces.

The judicial act has entered into legal force.
